So I hopped on Android bandwagon. I had E71 until now. Symbian had become a little too old for me over time so I got me one of these bad boys. I think I am fairly happy with it so far.
I could not resist so I decided to root it so I could install some custom ROM. Bonus of rooting: firewall and adblocker to get rid of those stupid ads taking up the screen.
So I followed Cynogen guide for rooting. Everything was going smooth until I had to install USB drivers. They just would not work.
Everything had been going smooth until I had to install USB drivers. The guide mentions using Androis SDK drivers. Those do not seem to work. Instead I used HTC’s drivers as described here
Once rooted, I install Adblock and Droidwall and the damn ads were gone.
I know… Awesome backdrop… That’s cca 1980′s washing machine…
After years of doing fuck all I decided to get back to mountain biking. Reasons for all this are countless…
So I got me one of these “bad boys”. It’s just a damn bike. It was not exactly cheap, but considering the fact that I am starting over again and I did not want to get a complete pile of crap bike, it’s really, really nice.
Since the last time, a lot of things have changed, hardware-wise. There was a time when I dreamed about a suspension fork… This is the first time I ever rode on one. The biggest difference are the disc brakes… They really make the bike stop. The last time I rode a mountain bike, it had one of those cantilever brakes. You can really feel the difference. When braking, you either stop or you fly over the bars… Even when you brake with the rear brake only… Wow, I made it to the 21st century…
